1980 Ironhead Short Chop
Mike from Nashville, Tennessee, USA, made available these pictures of his Harley Oldschool Short Chop which has a 1980 Sportster Ironhead engine in a Paughco hardtail frame.
Mike says this Ironhead Chopper was built by Pablo at Old School Customs in Miami. It has had national attention and has been featured in issue #62 of "The Horse" magazine in September 2006. This sleek bike is a true Hardcore Oldschool Bobber: she's got NO front brake, NO turn signals, NO horn. For the rest, she's got all it takes!
This bobber frame is a Paughco 35 degrees with 2 1/4 up.
The saddle was hand tooled and laced by Lance Ocarson of Seats by Lance.
Mike's Short Chopper has a custom chrome springer fork,
a 21" front wheel, stainless steel Unity Police spotlamp headlight,
and stainless steel sporty bars.
That stainless steel rear fender covers a stock harley 16" rear wheel with whitewall tire.
The tail light is a 1940's Ford South America that says "PARE", which means "STOP" in Spanish.
This Hardcore Oldschool Chopper is really bare bones:
no front brake, no turn signals, no horn.
"Bike Might Work"...
The carburator is a factory CV carb off of a late model Harley Davidson.
That's a spun aluminum oil tank.
According to Mike, that custom one off 2 into 1 exhaust with
Cherry Bomb muffler sounds great!
