1974 Ironhead Hardtail Bobber
Clint from Atmore, Alabama, United States, sent us these pictures of his Harley Ironhead Hardtail Sportster Bobber rebuilding project.
Clint: "I wanted a bike but had no cash so I traded a 454 Big Block 78 C-20 for this basket case! No pics of it on day 1, but it was a complete basket! I've been working on it a few hours here and there since Dec 20th, 2008. Hope to be ridable in the next few days!"
Clint: "Its a home built frame weld on rear with a 4 inch extension, and a rake in the neck the back bone was cut and the lower front to rake the neck. Its a xlch 1000, in need of parts, but she definitely lives! This is my first bike and my first build! And I am the one turning the wrenches and its my concept 100&pct;!"
With the weld on hardtail and chopped frame Clint has achieved a well balanced overall geometry. That's a good lookin' Sportster Bobber!
Well Clint, if you got more pics of your build, we sure look forward to see them!
