1964 Hardtail Sportster Chopper
Ron from Palm Bay, Florida, United States sent us these photographs of his 1964 Hardtail Sportster Chopper which has a real long girder forks and a weld on hardtail rear frame section.
Ron: "Hi, I love your Ironhead site and all the bikes. I want to submit photos of my 1964 XLH hardtail chopper. I live in Palm bay Florida and it's still a work in progress.
The motor is a stock 1964 883cc with .020 over and a Keihin Screaming Eagle carb and drag pipes. The frame is the 1964 raked to about 40 degrees with a weld on hard tail. Spoke rear 16" wheel with drum brake and a vintage 19" Invader front wheel and girder forks.
I hope you and your readers enjoy the photos. Ron"
While it's always nice to list what she does have, it is probably more interesting to note what this Spartan Lady does NOT have...
Ron: "No front brake, no turn signals, no speedo, no nonsense...
All balls and no brains...."
1964 Hardtail Sportster Chopper - hardcore to the bone
No flames, no scallops, no skulls and bones...
Note how the dead simple black paint job leads the eye to the things that really matter.
Well, Ron, we thank you very much for sharing these photographs with us.
She is truly a hardcore Chopper, and absolutely gorgeous!!!
